i-MP Zac Goldsmith

23rd May, 2011

Zac Goldsmith MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston , talks with us about what is keeping him busy in his inaugural year as an MP, whilst on the campaign trail for the NO vote in last months AV referendum. In line with his vote NO campaign he tells us about his plans to change parliament in a different away, through the “recall mechanism,” which could see the ousting of MP’s through a simple pen and paper petition.

Furthermore Zac discusses his commitment and interested in the Environment audit committee, covering topics such as poverty, going green and marine conservation.

Finally, with an intention to, ‘electrify,’ politics, Zac also informs us on his interesting views on young people and politics, and how he feels it is not the interest on part of youg people that is lacking, instead, he says, politics its self needs to rise to the challenge of finding more successful ways to ‘involve‘ young people as whole.
