Westminster Village Youth Fete – Victoria Tower Gardens
16th May, 2011A short video from the Westminster Village Youth Fete in Victoria Tower Gardens on 10th May 2011. Our aim was to find out “what politics was like when they were younger” and with young people “How they become engaged in politics”
Wesminster Village Youth Fete, a traditional English fair that was put on in order to highlight the vital work of local youth organisations and to allow local residents, MPs and visitors to enjoy some good old fashioned fun.
The event was organised by Kate Parish at the Pupil Voice & Participation England and was attended by such charities as Barnardos, BYC, Co-operative membership, British Red Cross, Girlguiding UK, London Rotary and many more! Each stall put on a traditional activitie such as hook a duck, face painting, coconut shy, Morris dancing, Punch & Judy shows and guided walks that kept everyone entertained for the day.
Thanks to Kate and Pupil Voice & Participation England for putting on the event and we hope its happens again! (Apologies to Morryce Maddams of MERL for misspelling his name)
