We want to kick-start a revolution of participation in British politics by changing the way it is perceived by the public. Catch21 seeks to achieve this by producing shows all over the UK, which will attract young people - those who are seen as the least likely to be interested in the traditional style of politics - by including well-known public faces.

Future Democracy '09

Catch21 is Media Partner at UK's Leading Annual Event on the Internet and Politics, 25 November, Central London

Future Democracy '09 is the UK's leading annual conference on all aspects of e-democracy, from e-campaigning, e-petitions and e-voting to the use of the internet and new technologies in politics; democratic activity and citizen engagement. The event's supporters include The Hansard Society, MySociety and the RSA. Catch21 is a key media partner for the event, and will be filming on the day.

Confirmed speakers include Will Perrin, former technology adviser to Tony Blair; and Heather Brooke, FOI Campaigner and Author and Tom Steinberg, Director of mySociety, will debate the role of the net in opening up the UK Parliament to greater scrutiny in the light of the MPs' expenses backlash. Workshops include 'Digital Campaigning post-Obama', and a session on electronic petitions will look ahead to next year's requirement for all local councils to offer e-petitions.

This is the event of the year for everyone interested in the future of democracy in the internet age. To find out more see: http://www.headstar-events.com/edemocracy09/
