Uni-Q Episode 5: Young Leaders Debate

It's May 2010 and the General Election is finally here - but it's also the end of Uni-Q Series 2, and we've put on a historic show to mark the occasion.

This is the first Uni-Q Young Leaders Debate, and it's the first ever debate between leaders of the youth parties to be broadcast in the UK. Our hosts Georgia and Sofia are back in London this time to let an audience of students and young people put their questions to the political leaders of tomorrow.

On the panel were Wes Streeting, a Labour Students leader and outgoing President of the NUS, the Conservative Future Chairman Michael Rock, and the Chair of Liberal Youth, Alan Belmore, who is also England's youngest Parliamentary candidate.

At the end of the show we go all Ready Steady Cook and let the audience decide who came out on top in the debate.Our audience at the University of London Union was made up of students and young people from all over the capital, and they came prepared to ask the panel about a whole range of tricky topics. Who will guard students against increased fees? Is immigration really that big a problem? And how can the new government cut Britain's massive deficit? So take a look at what the panel had to say, and decide for yourself which party deserves young voters' support.
